Effective Collaboration to Protect Critical Infrastructures

A Chicago InfraGard Seminar

September 15, 2010

8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Registration closes 8:00am September 13.

The public nature of the internet means that the government is constantly interfacing with private citizens and businesses in the digital domain. Plus, significant amounts of the internet infrastructure is owned by private industry.  This creates numerous opportunities and challenges for both parties to collaborate and share information to protect the nation’s cyber infrastructures.

To date, collaboration and information sharing activities between the public and private sectors have been less than optimal.  The Internet Security Alliance has proposed a market incentive based approach to enhance the nation’s cyber security posture in The Cyber Security Social Contract that has influenced the Whitehouse’s Cyberspace Policy ReviewThis seminar will be delivered by two widely known cyber security leaders, Larry Clinton, President of the Internet Security Alliance, and Jeffrey Brown, the Chief Information Security Officer for Raytheon, who have testified before both houses of congress and have briefed the Whitehouse on cyber security topics on multiple occasions.  The seminar will focus on two primary topics: 1) What should be the government’s role in cyber security? and 2) How can the private and public sectors better collaborate to enhance cyber security posture?  Learn about ongoing legislative initiatives and how they can impact your business.

See what new regulations may be arriving soon.  Understand how you can better collaborate with the public sector, across the private sector (even with your competitors), and still maintain you current regulatory compliance needs.
